New ISSUE

Sorry to be a pain but after hours i give up ... tried to send PM but it is stuck in outbox ?

Below is my log for being able to try to connect via my hotspot on my iphone as I was trying to make sure everyone can see my hub and aircraft.

I can see all when connecting directly within my LAN...

What is happenin is the HUb Lists my session, with 59 planes
but when I go to aircraft it only shows me (my laptop 1 plane), so basically i can nort see any planes from my host machine when using external IP via my hotspot,

Used to workm so I must have done something stupid

OH, when I look at the log for the LAN that works its show "Listing airtcraft...." for the many AI that I am using, as you can see below, that is not occurring when accessing externally

OK, 2pc's went back to ver 1.4.10 both machines, still would connect to HUB now...

Hub is there but when I clicked, nothing

So, I disconnected from netword, entered my external IP in the address line and whalah, I amnd good.

When I get back home later today I will re-try with 01.4.34 latest versions....

Oh well, any help will be appreciated....

Tried with both PC's 01.4.34 and when i tried to connect to external IP, the network went from RED to Yellow, but never to green

Update

I flipped roles of my desktop and laptop and now works using latest rel of software

so now the laptop is the host desktop is client user

something on my desktop must be different than the laptop, so that is where I will focus my research tomorrow.....

Sounds like a network issue, ports etc etc.

I noticed the other day that if I wasnt using the same port as others on a hub I connected to, they wouldn't show.

I was connected fine but I wasnt receiving the traffic from the hub I connected to.

I changed my port to what the others were using and I saw everybody.

I'd have a look at that.
Are both JoinFS clients using the same port?

Does your mobile network have that port open when you're testing?

Now, deleted all planes from host, let fsx reinstall them

but still not seeing planes when USING EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS on mt iphone's wifi

CAN ANYONE SEE MY PLANES on HUB "MAJOR Lightning with lots of AI"

users view shows green connected, 328ms ping
but blank nickname and callsign and aicraft = 0 EVEN thought hub view shows 151 planes ???

Aircraft view only shows me, the client with my 1 plane

Very puzzled because if I switch roles of these 2 pc's and change my port forward etc. they work nicely,

something is off with host PC, but I have clean re-installed Joinfs, check net versions. simconnects etc, firewall ruiles windows defender rules etc... all seem to be same as laptiop that works if I make it the host, just the deskltop as HOST, no planes

BUT, I see ALL the planes when I am connected on same wifi

You may very well be onto something, but I never had to do anything in the past and, it works when I flip roles of PC's using same iphone hotspot, so mmmm

per Roo, i am going to drill down on port issue

Maybe something on my desktop is blocking port 6112

I do a is port open on 6112 and it says can not find ...

Error: I could not see your service on 71.214.159.238 on port (6112)
Reason: Connection timed out

so, I am going to flip PC roles again, change my port forwarding rules for proper ip addr of host PC

then do is port open test, if it shows OPEN at that point using laptop as HOST, then something on Desktop is blocking, I just don't see it in the firewall ruls etc.. yet
