Unable to scan for aircraft

Postby g7usl » Wed Nov 21, 2018 1:07 pm

Scanning gives me the 'Unhandled exception' report.

Using P3D4.3 residing on a seperate drive, all on it's own.

Constructive help welcomed and appreciated please?

Any chance of a 'team Viewer' check?

Unhandled Exception is most likely a code bug, but I've not heard of this bug.

Which version of JoinFS are you using? (bottom left of the JoinFS window)

Are you specifying the top-level simulator folder by using the Browse button?

It could be an unusual aircraft.cfg format. Still a bug, but it might explain why it's not been picked up before.

Thanks for replying. I am using the latest version (at the top of the page) and I have browsed to where the flight sim is located. It's on it's own withing that ssd drive and has plenty of room.
My FSlabs A320 is in a seperate folder called 'FSAddons' and works well in the sim. All other aircraft are in the main Sim Objects/Airplanes folder. It first of all says it cannot locate the A321 and when I choose 'Scan folder' is when the Unhandled exception fault box appears. Selecting ignore causes a crash.
At 77 years I had no IT training so, my knowledge is limited, sorry.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Do you have a file called Texture.5 in F:\P3Dv4.3\SimObjects\Airplanes\Airbus_A321
