Unable to broadcast recorded aircrafts on playback

Postby mwelli » Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:20 pm

since we started formation-flying in 2018, we are using JoinFS. It's such a great tool and we record our flights for reviewing out training on a debriefing. At least since version 1.4.34 we ar no longer able to broadcast the aircrafts when doing a playback of a recorded flight. Previous to version 1.4.34 (sorry, but we can't tell in which version exectly) the leader recorded the flight with all aircrafts and after doing our practise, he replayed this file and broadcasted ALL recorded aircrafts to all users. This enables us to do a perfect debriefing with pausing, rewinding or fast-forwarding the replay and everyone was able to see the aircrafts synced for everybody.
In the last version, no other user can see the replayed aircrafts of an record, even if the checkbox "broadcast" is selected. So we allways have to share the recorded file, start this syncron for all users and everyone has to do a synced playback of this file. For this it isn't possible for the leader to fast-forward or skip to a particular time in the file without having ALL user to skip to this time too.
Is this a bug, a neccesary limitation or are we just doing something wrong?

I've encountered the same challenge and wondered if you'd found the "magic" to make it work?

Sounds like you need to open the User list and change the permissions for the user that is broadcasting their recording. Each person needs to allow that user to share objects.
