CTD Join after update to windows 10

Postby muffo1965 » Thu Feb 21, 2019 5:50 pm

Today I have updated my PC, from windows 7 to windows 10 and Join fs ctd. I was using version 1.4.20, I did everything:
1) uninstalled and reinstalled
2) made the update to version 1.4.25
3) installed in the main folder of C
4) redone the update of the sim connect of prepar 3D v.4.4.
5) I looked in the windows events but there is no trace of the mistake of Join.
6) net framework 3.5 enabled

Windows 10 Home version 1809

Question,Join creates an error log in these cases?

To enable logging to a file, the box needs to be ticked on the Monitor window. Try installing a much older version of JoinFS from the archive. If that runs, then tick the logging to file option, install the latest and see what you get in the log files that are written to the User folder AppData\Local\JoinFS\.

If the archive version doesn't run either, then set this integer value in the registry for the JoinFS settings, "AutoLog" = 1. You will need to search the registry for the JoinFS settings.

Failing that you could try deleting the JoinFS settings from the registry if you are familiar with editing the registry.

Make sure you have SimConnect 10.0.61259.0 installed if connecting to P3D.

I don't find JoinFS settings on my registry , I found simconnect folder 10.0.61259.0 but the simconnect.dll is 10.0.61637.0 :cry:

Try installing the legacy version of SimConnect. You’ll find it in the P3D folder ‘redist’. Look for the XPACK folder and install SimConnect.msi from there.

unfortunately already done that too. I believe there is no solution to my case. I Think that the program, for some reason, cann't write on registry something.

@muffo1965:: CLR20r3
Did you update Windows 10 including latest version of .Net Framework?
Read here:: https://flightsimeindhoven.com/prepar3d/update-p3d4-4/
Next step 14 is to install NDP472-KB4054530-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe
get into your unzipped download area and find the folder called: redist
Open the folder and right mouse click the .exe to install as Administrator, the NET Framewordk 4.7.2 update for Windows 10.

following a tutorial on how to stop and restart net framework 4.7 I managed to start the program, and to solve my problem. The use of the recommended program was useless, since it was an earlier version than the one already installed.
