IP problem

Postby Slowhand » Mon Jan 21, 2019 1:50 pm

Recently I did a total upgrade of my pc. Its a new pc, but in the same housing. This also means a new ip.
But for some reason, JoinFS (v.1.4.20, new fresh install) comes up everytime with my old ip adress. And I can't change or delete it.
I have a complete new mobo and harddisk drive. So it puzzles me where this old ip is coming from.

Is this a known problem? I hope somebody can help me out.

JoinFS reports your public IP address. If you haven't changed your router then you'll still have the same public IP address. The IP address of your PC is not the same as the IP address of your router which will be assigned by your ISP and is usually outside of your control.

Thanks Peter.
We are two old hands flying together once a week (FSX:SE) and we like to continue. So my mate should be able to make contact to me with that same 'old' ip adress. Good to know.

No problem. Let me know if you have any issues connecting.
