Cross-platform bug

Postby FAF115 » Sun Dec 10, 2017 1:04 pm

Hello,

We fly with a friend, me on P3Dv4 and him on XP11.
Since the beginning of the XP support, I can see him in P3D, but he can't see me in XP11...
Although, every other people can see me in their P3D and he can see everyone in his XP11 even if they are on P3D...

What can it be ?
Maybe a non-open port on my box or something like that ?

Thanks :)

Keep up the good work, your app is awesome !!

(sorry for my english...)

Hi Seb,

Have you checked the manual, http://pmem.uk/joinfs/manual.html#xplane? There are a few requirements that need to be met so that network aircraft show in X-Plane. In particular, check the AI aircraft in the flight configuration and disabling other plugins that access the aircraft.

Do you appear in his user list, and does it say 'connected'? Can he see your aircraft in his aircraft list? Does the distance column show up as green?

Has he tried substituting the aircraft?

How do you do that...? Port forwarding ?
In JoinFS or in my box settings ?

It depends on which type of home router you are using. You need to go into the settings for your router and enable the following.

port 6112, UDP only, to your PC (e.g. 192.168.0.x).

That should give you a more stable connection.
