Re: 2nd PC Connection - Firewall Rules Protocols
@ATC Roo - my FlightSim PC is 172.16.0.5 and that is where the rule is set. Basically all packets / protocols sent or receieved from 172.16.0.9 which is my JoinFS PC. Ah that makes sense now. For some reason I thought you were adding those rules to PC 172.16.0.9. Have you tried the below? netsh adv...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
Definitely does sound like a firewall issue if you can connect with the firewall off. Simcom X should cause windows to ask if you want to add a firewall exception on first run. If it doesn't ask, could there be a rule still there that you missed? Have you got another rule enabled that would interfer...

Re: ATC with JOINFS
Good stuff.
Although the GUI shouldn't be locked when it can't find the file, so I'll fix that at some point.

I thought timing issue too, but thanks for checking.
I might have to look at another way if it gets troublesome.

Re: ATC with JOINFS
If you reduce the range in JoinFS does that help? It seemed to with me but not sure if it was coincidence. Also try connecting euroscope to esjfs and then start JoinFS to see if that helps. I was getting a few file read errors with the latest versions of JoinFS, which is why I released a slightly tw...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
Hello! We have a copy of SimCom X running on a server, it's not got MSFS installed on it but it's running in host mode and all the ports are forwarded. Should we be able to connect to it? I have SimConnect installed and the voice says online on the host mode is green. When I connect a client it als...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
2.2.1.14 available now. I've played with a lot of things, so I hope I've not missed anything. I've now added a feature that I've called Nearby ATC. It can be enabled by a tickbox in the config window. It will also be compatible with the ATC VCCS im still working on. If a Simcom x user acting as a pi...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
OK, that sounds correct then. Simcom X can be used without running a flight simulator. If the Autoswitch is Unticked, a user can input a frequency into the STBY box and the press the switch button (in the middle of the frequency displays) to make it the Active frequency. Somebody acting as ATC might...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
Also, setting the Auto COM switch in the Config, I can see COM1 and COM2 indicated. I still can't see them if I do not tick this setting. Thanks for the feedback Denis, it's appreciated. I'm not sure what you mean by COM1 and COM2 aren't indicated. The displays should show ---.--- in all boxes afte...

Ok, leave it with me Denis,
I'll have to try a few things, as the log isn't showing anything abnormal.

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
The log file overwrites itself everytime Simcom X starts.
I hope that helps.
I'll try and get sometime to look at the code shortly though.

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
I've not had the time to look at the code yet, but a quick look at your log is showing that you're not connected to a SIM. Could give it another whirl by starting your SIM first and then starting Simcom X. Make sure that the FSX tickbox is ticked in the Simcom X config. Simcom X tries to connect to ...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
Thanks Denis. I always appreciated being notified when 5hings don't work as I've intended. Firstly the beep is when you've been talking with the PTT down for longer than (I think) 30 seconds. There should be a message displayed in Simcom X when it happens, but the PTT shouldn't be reversing. Somethi...

Re: SIMCOM X Voice application
Hey Roo, I've been having a problem with version 2214 and 2215. With auto com selected, the frequencies switch only once when initially setting up the radios. for example when I power on, with com1 selected as active, auto com switch selected, the initial freq of 123.45 is indicated active and the ...
