Re: requirement to host a session

thank you. In the past we made some tests to be sure the 6112 is opened, we runt JoinFS, and used the web site: https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ but it say always door closed. So we were still not sure if the door is opened. While this web site work well for other protocols and server ...

requirement to host a session

hi, we have a server behind a firewall, that keep all the incoming socket request closed. We installed there JoinFS and are using that installation to create flight sessions and all our association pilots connect to that. Well or bad this is stable and mostly satisfying, apart some rare mutual non-v...

Re: port forwarding ON check

I assume that the implementation of opensource:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmission_(BitTorrent_client)
can be used as a guide.

Re: port forwarding ON check

I do not have to be well explained, sorry. What I'm thinking on, is a net connection test like the one performed by Torrent clients. This is performed from outside "on the Net", to the user PC with JoinFS, passing the router, and PC SW firewall, without accessing router settings. This can ...

X-Plane: overtaking 19 aircrafts

hi, X-Plane dev say using the open library: https://github.com/kuroneko/libxplanemp the limit of 19 aircrafts can be overtaken. XSquawkBox/VATSIM and WorldTraffic use this library "The aircraft are modelled in a different file format and rendered by a very different mechanism than the default X...

Re: cross-platform JoinFS

on an updated Ubuntu 16.04 looking for "Windows forms" in Package manager I got:

libmono-system-windows-forms4.0-cil
Mono System.Windows.Forms Library (for CLI 4.0)
4.2.1.102+dfsg2-7ubuntu4

Hope will be support for X-Plane on Linux and MacOS

Re: cross-platform JoinFS

in the todo list, you can add a build test with MonoDevelop instead of VisualStudio (supposing now you are here), just to see if everything using is supported. Mono 4.6 seems support all of .Net 2.0 Windows_Forms, and partly of .Net 3.0+, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Forms#Alternative_...
